Argentina: Macri to Target Household Energy Subsidies

Although Argentina's right-wing President-Elect Mauricio Macri has not yet taken office, his announced policy measures are already beginning to impact consumer prices. The new Energy Minister Juan Jose Araguren announced that subsidies on household gas and electricity would be decreased or eliminated, which could make them four to seven times more extensive.
