An amusing video has emerged from the US of a squirrel appearing to wind up a dog.

In the footage, filmed in Tampa, Florida, USA on Tuesday, Katie the Great Dane can be seen chasing the squirrel back and forth on a porch.

The squirrel is on an archway ledge and the dog has no chance of catching it but that doesn't stop her trying.
