Pope Francis: The world is near ‘suicide’ on climate change; ‘it’s now or never’

Pope Francis on Monday urged environmental negotiators meeting in Paris to strike a deal to address climate change, warning that the world is "at the limits of suicide."
"I am not sure, but I can say to you 'now or never'," he told a group of reporters aboard the papal plane, en route home from Africa, according to Reuters .
The pope's comments come as nearly 150 world leaders and others descend on Paris for a United Nations-sponsored environmental summit.
Francis accused politicians of having "done little" to deal with the growing problem, according to the National Catholic Reporter .
He specifically cited problems associated with glacial melt in Greenland and rising sea levels in low-lying countries.
