Venezuelan Vice President Jorge Arreaza denied claims by Lilian Tintori, wife of opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, that the government is out to kill her. Arreaza said that forces within the opposition might try to assassinate Tintori as part of efforts to disrupt the December 6 elections. President Nicolas Maduro slammed the international right-wing for attempting to create a scandal over the death of opposition politician Luis Manuel Diaz, whose killing has been attributed to rivalry among competing criminal gangs. teleSUR
