TIMERGARA: The Lower dir district police officer Qasim Ali Khan on Saturday said that five accused involved in robbery of Rs 6 million and killing a Timergara based currency dealer had been arrested while raids were being conducted to arrest their 6th accomplice. Briefing local journalists at Ouch police station the DPO said that a currency dealer and councilor Jamiullah was mysteriously killed and robbed of Rs 6 million late on Wednesday night. He said the robbers belonged to Lower Dir and Charsadda. The DPO said that police succeeded to trace the blind murder case within 24 hours. Giving detail of the incident Mr Qasim Ali said the accused were chasing the trader from Peshawar where he had exchanged foreign currency notes. He said the accused intercepted the trader at Osakai but on his resistance he was shot dead. He said the accused were chasing him in a car bearing registration No. U-4553 Peshawar. The car has been taken into custody. He said one of the accused left his mobile phone set in the car of deceased from the data of which police traced all the accused involve in the murder and robbery. The accused included Mujib ur Rehman s/o Fazal Rehman of Kumbar Lower Dir, Anwar Ali s/o Sher Zamin Khan of Tangi Timergara, Noor ul Haq s/o Maazullah Khan of Behrain Swat, Yousaf Zada s/o Zardad of Shabqadar Charsadda and Haqdar s/o Iqbal Shah of Shabqadar Charsadda. The DPO said that five of the accused were in police custody while one Haqdar had been abscondring. The police also recovered the looted Rs 6 million and arms used during the incident. The DPO also praised the efforts of police investigation team comprised of DSP Muhammad Naeem, SHO Syed Zaman Shah, SHO Rushan Zada and DSP Hidayatullah Shah.
