Defence & Diplomacy: Efficacy of Gwadar & CPEC

Gwadar is destined to become a regional port, which will provide service to the entire region as well as link Kashgar via the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Gwadar has the capacity to berth international shipping, trade and comerce. For China, the biggest advantage will be to reduce the shipping of its oil supplies by over 16000 Kilometers as well as provide security from pirates and other dangers. Being part of the New Silk Road and One Belt One Road Concept as well as the Maritime Silk Road, CPEC will provide linkages to the port of Gwadar to Afghanistan, Central Asian Republics and all other regional states who want to use it.
