Child Sexual Abuse a Growing Problem in Honduras

The number of reported cases of child sexual abuse in Honduras has doubled in the first 7 months of 2015, compared to the previous year. Most of the cases involve physical abuse, followed by sexual harassment and child pornography. Children's rights advocates report that 96% of the cases are never investigated by authorities. They call for allocating more resources to address the problem, strengthening judicial protection for children, and educating society. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa. teleSUR
