Colombian Gov't Pardons 30 Rebel Prisoners

The Colombian government will pardon 30 prisoners belonging to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The move is seen as a good will gesture toward the rebels, who had warned last week that many FARC prisoners' lives were in jeopardy due to their deteriorating health. FARC leader Rodrigo Londoño, AKA Timochenko, announced that the two sides had reached agreement on 74 of 75 points concerning transitional justice and hope to conclude a final peace agreement before the March 23, 2016 deadline. teleSUR
