Belgian terror suspect loved hash, booze, PlayStation and gay bars

BRUSSELS — Gay sex, video games, hashish and alcohol: these were the reported passions of Belgian terror suspect Salah Abdeslam, who is now the subject of an international manhunt.
Details on Salah's pre-jihadi life are emerging with the man's older brother, Mohammed Abdeslam, telling the media that his siblings Salah and Ibrahim spent the majority of their days smoking hashish and playing video games.
It was only six months ago, their brother said, that the two stopped drinking and began praying — something the family did not believe indicated the brothers had been radicalized, but rather that they were attempting to straighten up their lives and pay a bit more heed to their religious obligations.
Brahim (Ibrahim) Abdeslam, 31, blew himself up inside a café in Paris on the night of November 13, 2015, but his brother Salah may have had second thoughts about his planned suicide attack.
UK newspaper The Sun reports that Salah recently called a friend in Belgium saying, "we went too far" and that he was now not only on the run from authorities but also from Islamic State militants, possibly for his failure to complete his suicide mission.
It's also been revealed that Salah frequented gay bars in Brussels and was known for boozing, smoking hash and flirting with men.
Although unconfirmed, some believe Salah is in hiding in Brussels. Police have released a picture of Salah wearing a wig and glasses when he rented a car that was used to transport terrorists and weapons to various sites in Paris on the night of November 13.
Salah's family has urged him to turn himself in, saying it's unclear whether Salah actually killed anyone. His older brother Mohammed said he would rather see Salah in jail than in a cemetery.
