24 ore pas denoncimit për zhdukjen misterioze te pikturave ne galerinë e Arteve ne Korçe, Prokuroria ka nisur hetimet. Përfaqësues te organit te akuzës, oficere te policisë gjyqësore dhe policia ka mbërritur sot ne Qendrën Kulturore te Korçës, ku kane nisur verifikimet përkatëse. Hetimet nisen menjëherë pas përfundimit te inventarit ne këtë qendër, ku rezultoi se mungonin 60 punime, 30 prej te cilave i përkasin piktorit te madh Vangjush Mio. Sipas burimeve nga Prokuroria e Korçës, te gjithë personat përgjegjës janë nen hetim deri ne zbardhjen e ngjarjes. Nga ana tjetër, piktoret kane reaguar duke e konsideruar zhdukjen e pikturave si një humbje te madhe për kulturën shqiptare. Pas largimit nga detyra te përgjegjësit te Galerisë Sotiraq Xega, Qendra Kulturore ne Korçe nisi inventarin e punimeve, ku rezultoi humbja misterioze e pikturave.
