Zgjedhja e nacionalistit Tomilsav Nikolic ne krye te shtetit te Serbisë nuk ka kaluar pa debate dhe komente edhe ne Kosove. Zëvendëskryeministri Hajredin Kuçi deklaroi se zhvillimet ne Kosovë nuk varen nga zgjedhjet qe bën Serbia megjithatë ai shtoi se vendit i intereson qe i gjithë rajoni te jete i orientuar nga Evropa. Analisti Avni Zogiani shikon tek Tomislav Nikolic një lider qe tashme është asimiluar nga Evropa dhe ShBA, por ai thekson se ndryshimi për një ish -- anëtar te partisë radikale duket i vështire. Për Migjen Kelmendin zgjedhja e Nikolicit ne krye te shtetit te Serbisë, ishte e befasishme, por ai shpjegon se një lider nacionalist si ai mund ti zgjidhe çështjet shume me lehte dhe po aq ti ndërlikoje ato.
