Women's swim team finds hidden smartphone in their locker room at Towson University

TOWSON, MARYLAND — It's been a month since a cellphone with videos of students changing was found in the locker room of the women's swimming and diving team at Towson University, and members of the team are upset that the university still hasn't given them an explanation of the situation.
Three of the team's coaches, Adrienne Phillips and wife and husband Maureen and Pat Mead, have been removed from their positions, but the university hasn't commented on their involvement with the phone that was found in the locker room on October 16, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Swimming World Magazine reported that the team was planning to boycott their swim meet against Pittsburgh this weekend in response to how the university administration is handling the investigation.
"The university has nothing to 'come clean' with," Towson University spokesperson Marina Cooper told Swimming World Magazine. "[W]e are conducting a thorough investigation and taking action based on the information available."
On Tuesday the university announced that it was suspending competition until January.
