M-Profi Martial Arts School in Moscow began developing combat techniques involving selfie sticks after receiving requests from amateur sportsmen and women who travel frequently. The discipline, which borrows moves from boxing, wrestling, and MMA, has been dubbed 'mpd-fight', or monopad fighting, and aims to help tourists and Instagram stars alike use the tools at their fingertips to defend against unassuming attackers thinking they are easy prey.
