Patrick Hardison, a Mississippi firefighter who suffered multiple disfiguring burns while on the job in 2001, is one step closer to living a normal life.
In August, surgeons in New York successfully completed the most substantial face transplant to ever be performed, as well as the first one done in the state.
News of the surgery and its success was announced just recently.
