Google's self-driving car pulled over by police for going too slow

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA — A Google self-driving car was pulled over by police in Mountain View, California on Thursday for driving too slow and obstructing the flow of traffic, the Daily Telegraph reported.
According to a report from The Guardian, the car was driving down El Camino Real near Google's main campus, but it was clocked going 24 miles per hour on the street which has a speed limit of 35 miles per hour.
There was a small traffic jam, so an officer pulled the car over to ask some questions. The car wasn't issued a ticket, because the police determined that it didn't break any traffic laws. Witness Alexander Milewski managed to take a photo of the traffic stop and posted it to Facebook, where it has gone viral.
Google posted the photo on the Self-Driving Car Project's Google Plus page along with the caption: "Driving too slowly? Bet humans don't get pulled over for that too often."
Adding: "Like this officer, people sometimes flag us down when they want to know more about our project. After 1.2 million miles of autonomous driving (that's the human equivalent of 90 years of driving experience), we're proud to say we've never been ticketed!"
The Mountain View police department told The Guardian: "The Mountain View police department meets regularly with Google to ensure that their vehicles operate safely in our community."
