Mexico: Police Attack Ayotzinapa Students

Police attacked between 130 and 200 students from the Ayotzinapa Teachers Training College yesterday after they commandeered eight buses and a gas tanker. It is common in Mexico for students to hijack buses to attend demonstrations. The brutal attack, which was captured on video, resulted in 20 students injured, eight of them seriously and requiring hospitalization. Thirteen students were detained but subsequently released.
