River of Dnieper is the fourth in length and area from rivers of Europe after Volga, Danube and Ural.
Khortytsya Island is one of the largest river island in Europe. Its length is 12 km. Now it is a national nature reserve.
Khortytsya Island and Zaporizhzhya Sich is a historic site. Freedom-loving Cossacks lived here from the XVI till XVIII centuries. The island has a very interesting museum of ancient Cossack fortress and a protective complex.
Khortytsya has a thousand-year history. A place which is named Black Rock is probably the place of death of Prince Svyatoslav of Kievan Rus. It is believed that there was the last battle of the prince and his warriors. In the year 972 on this place Pechenegs attacked on Prince Sviatoslav and killed him.
Khortytsya Island is one of the most beautiful places in Ukraine. It is located on the Dnieper River near the city of Zaporozhye.

Остров Хортица и Запорожская Сечь - историческое место. Здесь жили свободолюбивые козаки с XVI по XVIII вв. На острове очень интересный Музей старинной казацкой крепости и защитный комплекс.
Хортица имеет тысячелетнюю историю. Место, которое называется Черная скала - это вероятное место гибели князя Киевской Руси Святослава. Предполагают, что здесь был последний бой князя и его дружинников. В 972 году на этом месте на князя Святослава напали печенеги и убили его.
Остров Хортица - это одно из самых красивых мест Украины. Он расположен на Днепре возле города Запорожье.
