A funny video has emerged from the US of a puppy being rescued by its owners after it got its head stuck in a jar of Miracle Whip spread.

In the footage, filmed at the weekend in the US, the cute chihuahua can be seen all squeezed inside the jar, after the owner cuts the bottom of it off. They eventually manage to use running water to help free the puppy.

The filmer later wrote online: "After not seeing our puppy for several hours I went to look for him and I found him in the garage with his head stuck in an old Miracle Whip container.

"It must have been that tangy zip that they puppy could not resist."
