Tuscaloosa police use tasers and batons to 'de-escalate' noise violation

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA — Tuscaloosa, Alabama police responded early Sunday morning to a noise complaint at the 12th Avenue Place Apartments.

Cell phone cameras recorded Brandon Williford getting tazed, beaten and arrested by cops. The Sigma Chi member was charged with harassment, obstruction, and resisting arrest.

Videos from inside the home show the what happened prior to the swarm of officers arrival and ensuing overreaction. The first responding officer stepped into the residence without a warrant or consent.

The cop eventually resorted to force in order to get the stubborn noise violators outside where Tuscaloosa taser-happy baton-swinging cops show the world how they de-escalate a noise violation.

The department said they forwarded the videos on to internal affairs investigators for a full investigation into the incident.
