GENAY, FRANCE — Eight McDonald's staffers in southern France found themselves unemployed late last month after they were caught selling drugs on the job, according to a report by the Local.

The employees, who worked at a McDonald's in the city of Genay, near Lyon, apparently sold the the marijuana through the drive-through window.

Customers reportedly got in touch by text with the employees, who would then habitually cut, weighed and then bagged their orders right at the fast food joint's salad bar.

According to coworkers, the group of employees were also practicing some pretty nasty hygiene.

"Some people were smoking joints, then cooking without washing their hands," said one worker, according to the Local.

Their coworkers eventually got tired of their shenanigans, which included after-hour boozing and drug-taking, and ratted them out to corporate.

French police have yet to start on investigation on the matter.
