Anonymous doxes hundreds of neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members

Anonymous, the loosely associated network of hacktivists, has released a massive list of hundreds of people they believe to be Ku Klux Klan members or neo-Nazi sympathizers.

“We hope Operation KKK will, in part, spark a bit of constructive dialogue about race, racism, racial terror and freedom of expression, across group lines,” the group wrote in a Pastebin post which laid out the doxed names. “The reality is that racism usually does NOT wear a hood but it does permeate our culture on every level.”

Anonymous says it took them 11 months to identify and verify that the people were in fact members or supporters of hate groups. They said they primarily used human intelligence to gather the information. Others affiliations were verified by looking at open source information, such as public social networks groups.

The hacktivists criticized the mainstream media for not using the word “terrorism” during their coverage of violent crimes committed by hate-group members.
