Tastes like chicken? UK girl discovers frog in her McDonald's chicken wrap
  • 8 years ago
FLINTSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM — Children around the world grow up begging and pleading with their parents to pull over on the highway when they catch a glimpse of the golden arch. Ten-year-old Cordellia Buckley, however, will no longer be one of them, after her McDonald's chicken wrap had a dead frog in it.

On October 31st, Cordellia and her dad pulled off the A55 expressway in Flintshire to grab a quick bite at the closest McDonald's restaurant. After a long car drive, she ordered a "Big flavor sweet chili chicken wrap," or so she thought.

Back on the road, Cordellia began eating her meal, but her first bite tasted strange. After spitting it into her hand, she realized what she had just put in her mouth was definitely not chicken. When she opened up the wrap, she found a slimy, dead frog.

Seeing his daughter freak out, Cordellia's dad took a look and immediately called the famous fast-food restaurant to complain. He claims that the manager did not offer an apology, instead promising a refund while asking that the food in question be brought back.

On behalf of the fast food chain, a spokesman for McDonald's stated that given their strict health standards, there's no reason to believe the frog came from a McDonald's restaurant.

The girl's mother says the frog, 4-inches in length, is now being preserved in the family's freezer. According to Cordellia's parents, the child has since sworn off McDonald's, and all fast food, for good.
