Brazil: Clowns Entertain Children Displaced by Mining Disaster
  • 8 years ago
After the collapse of two dams buried the entire town of Bento Rodrigues under tons of mud last week, killing at least 15 people and leaving at least 25 unaccounted for, children who lost their homes were amused on Monday by a group of volunteers dressed as clowns. Some residents of the small town in the state of Minas Gerais were allowed to return to their homes to pick up belongings, as firefighters, soldiers and civil defense workers continue to search for survivors in one of the worst mining disasters in the history of Brazil. teleSUR
