Well when it is Bollywood it is a good wins over evil story that always tugs at everyone’s hearts. It is the underdog who walks away with all sympathy. This is the crux of the story of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo where Salman plays the good man who is humble and falls in love with a princess Sonam kapoor and is totally besotted by her.
The movie is all about how their love develops and what odds are faced by Salman in winning over his love. Also there is the evil bit played by his brother Neil Nitin Mukesh which Salman wins over as Prem in the last climax scene which has been dominated by a magnificent sword fight between them. The royal touch and the grandeur has not gone down unmistaken and the movie is certainly worth a watch with the family for a Diwali break.
The songs are lilting and foot tapping and are very today in nature though with a past touch. Overall a perfect visual treat.
