Colombia: New Questions Emerge on Palace of Justice Case

More questions emerge as Colombia remembers State murders and disappearances at the Palace of Justice 30 years ago. President Juan Manuel Santos is expected to make a public apology on behalf of the Colombian state, but a number of critics are demanding answers on a cover-up of the crimes. In 1985, the M-19 guerrillas took over the Palace, demanding the release of several government documents. Colombia’s armed forces killed almost 100 people in a military recovery operation. Recent investigations have shown that the State deliberately targeted civilians to frame the guerrillas. teleSUR
