China scraps one-child policy 30 years too late for two-child policy instead

BEIJING, CHINA — After 30 years of a flawed demographics scheme, China has decided to finally end its ridiculous one-child policy. Xi Jinping has decided to go with a two-child policy instead for all couples.
The "all-mighty" Communist Party decided during a meeting on Thursday of the Central Committee. It was announced over state propaganda "news" outlet Xinhua.
The policy change has been anticipated after previous efforts to relax the backwards policy fell short of the goal of boosting Chinese newborns by two million a year.
Because China is still pretty much a dictatorship, they didn't have to wait for legislation to pass next year.
Xi is attempting to manage the economy's shift to slower, more balanced growth. China hopes that it can transition from an export driven economy into a services and consumer spending economy, which should be great for the world's resources.
China has been worried as the fertility rate has plunged and eroded the labor pool. China's working-age population shrank for the first time in 20 years as growth has slowed in the world's second largest economy.
The only problem for China now is that they have 30 years of completely messed up demographics including way too many dudes. It's gotten so bad that people have started suggesting guys start sharing wives. And just because China is allowing couples to have two children, it's not going to help that boys are still favored. Maybe they should start forcing some of these guys to go Caitlyn Jenner.
But hey, things are starting to look up in China. Now you can have two boys instead of one. And Freedom House just released its latest report on internet freedom and they found China came in dead last. Long live the red dragon!
