The Donald tells NBC about 'small' $1 million loan from Daddy Trump

NEW YORK — Donald Trump's presidential campaign trail led him to NBC's "The Today Show," where he was his usual unrelatable self. He said it was not easy for him, starting out with just a small one-million dollar loan from his father. Now that's rough!
"It has not been easy for me. I started off in Brooklyn. My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars," he told Matt Lauer.
The median home price in 1968 was $25 thousand dollars compared to $270 thousand today. When adjusted for inflation, that 'small' loan of a million dollars is equivalent to $6.8 million today.
Trump's father Fred Trump built his empire on a $30,000 inheritance from his dad, the equivalent of more than a half-million today. Fun fact: The Donald's grandfather, Friedrich Drumpf, made his fortune running brothels during the gold rush.
What this means is the Donald Trump isn't a liar, he's delusional. The Republican frontrunner thinks he had it rough but doesn't have a clue what rough is.
Trump grew his real-estate empire from $1 billion in 1988 to $4 billion today — that's a 300% increase. Not too bad until you compare it to the S&P 500 which returned 600% over that same time period.
