WICKENBURG, ARIZONA — A man was arrested on Monday after he allegedly tried to trade sex with his own dog for a chance to have sex with a variety of farm animals, The Arizona Republic reports.

According to ABC 15, James Allen Darland, 56, admitted to undercover officers in emails that he used to have sex with his neighbor's horses, dogs, and sheep in Washington. He wanted to negotiate a deal to trade sex with his dog, named Playmate, for a few days on the farm with miniature horses, dogs and goats that he could have intercourse with.

Darland also allegedly admitted that during his 23 year career as a package delivery man, he would have sex with customer's dogs when they weren't home as well as picking up stray dogs for his sexual satisfaction, ABC 15 reported.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio released a statement saying: "We clearly confirmed his intentions to commit this crime by statements, recorded phone calls and videos, e-mails and actions witnessed by my detective, leaving no doubt in his mind that Darland fully intended to carry out his perversion by committing the crime of bestiality."
