Standing More Linked To Reduced Chances Of Obesity

A new study by the American Cancer Society, in conjunction with other institutions, has found that, for the most part, people who stand more throughout the day tend to have a lower likelihood of obesity.

The American Cancer Society, in conjunction with other institutions, has found a correlation between standing for a minimum of a quarter of the day and a reduced likelihood of obesity. 
For women, the proportion of the day they reported being on their feet tended to align with lower waist circumferences, also called abdominal obesity--standing for a quarter of the time was linked to a 35 percent reduction, half the time to a 47 percent reduction, and
