#PhonesDownDontShoot: Trevor Noah Mocks Police Concerns About Being Filmed

Trevor Noah returned from break tonight and tackled the “Ferguson effect,” the apparent reluctance cops have to do their jobs because of fears of people recording them.

Noah mockingly dismissed facts and said “it only matters how the police feel,” while still seriously acknowledging that the police feel real danger every day.

However, he couldn’t help but find some irony in the police worrying about being scrutinized too heavily and complaining are always “suspicious that they’re always afraid to break the law” and that one day someone might “whip out a phone and brutally film them.”
