MPs support call for parliament reform

MPs from both sides of the political divide have voiced out support for parliament speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia’s call to reform the parliament so the speaker is given independent power to control proceedings. Yesterday, Pandikar revealed that part of the reason he wanted to resign was because the parliament was seen as a rubber stamp. He also called to abolish the post of the parliamentary affairs minister.
