Church's Ornate Decorations Made Of Bones

At a time in history, it was popular to create ornate decorations out of bones from displaced human remains; one famous site for this kind of work is the Czech Republic’s Sedlec Ossuary where visitors can see a large chandelier, intricate family crest, and other pieces--all made out of bones.

It’s not unusual for old churches to be ornate in style, but some have been decorated with an unusual material--bones. 
These additions are often part of bone storage areas called ossuaries which were largely created due to the volume of deaths and lack of space at graveyards.
