SAHARA announce 10 million for earthquake victims
LAHORE: Chairman SAHARA for life trust Ibrar ul haq in a press conference today announced that SAHARA had allocated 10 million for the earthquake victims and first consignment of basic necessities will depart today towards the affected areas. Executive Director SAHARA Major ( R) Israr Ul Haq was also present on the occasion.
He said that medical teams consist of highly professional doctors from Sughra Shafi Medical Complex are on their way to Shangla, Swat and other affected areas of KPK so that they could provide medical facilities to the resident of the area as soon as possible. Ibrar ul Haq told that it is an honour for SAHRA that Japnese Embassy on their own contacted with us to donate for earthquake victim which shows their trust on relief activities of SAHARA.
He also recalled the tremendous work done by SAHARA and Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) during the 2010 and 2011 flood. He also mentioned that 3500 fiber made houses are still present in Balla Kot, Hatian and other areas of AJK which were affected in 2005 earthquake.
At the end he appealed to donors to come forward and donate for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of affected people. He said that initially we allocated 10 million and we hope that with the help of our donor this fund will increase manifold.
