U.S. Officials Ignore Problems Caused by Fracking

The United States oil industry views fracking as an opportunity for economic growth, but a growing number of citizens say environmental and health problems caused by this practice are ignored by U.S officials. They accuse the Environmental Protection Area of leaving important fracking data out of their reports. Studies show that at least 15.3 million United States residents live within a mile of a well that has been drilled since 2000.
