Researchers have discovered two astoundingly well-preserved extinct cave lion cubs in the permafrost of Siberia.

Siberia can be punishingly cold, but the less than temperate climate does have an upside.
Researchers have discovered two astoundingly well-preserved extinct cave lion cubs in the permafrost there.
The remains are believed to be at least 10,000 years old and are so complete the animals still have fur.
Paleontologists found the duo over the summer, but just recently shared the news.
An official, detailed report is expected in November.
