A primary school teacher in Jiangxi Province, China spent 14 months designing and making himself an electric-powered sports car.

The unusual video which was filmed last week, shows the teacher driving his hand-crafted car wildly on a country road. He can also be seen displaying the planning pictures and working on a final polish.

According to news reports, the car maker, Yuan Rungou started making vehicles since 2006, creating a series of products with two wheels, three wheels and four wheels.

This red "Ferrari" was his fifth creation with a maximum speed of 50km/h, costing him 20,000 yuan (around £2,000) in total.
