Peru: Humala Approval Ratings Plummet to 12%

The series of social conflicts that have rocked Peru in recent months coupled with unfulfilled campaign promises have weakened support for President Ollanta Humala, whose approval ratings have plummeted to 12%. Humala's Peruvian Nationalist Party (PNP) could face an uphill battle in next April's elections, as its possible candidates have single-digit approval ratings. Humala also faces a crisis in Congress, where vice-president Marisol Espinoza resigned from the PNP, the 19th lawmaker to do so. Rael Mora reports from Lima, teleSUR
