Mexico: Drug Tunnel Discovered under U.S. Border
  • 8 years ago
A tunnel below the U.S. – Mexico border was discovered by the federal police, who arrested 16 suspected drug traffickers and confiscated ten tons of marijuana. The tunnel is around 800 meters long and links to warehouses in Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego in California. The entrance is found about ten meters deep at the bottom of a shaft connecting with a passageway that had structural supports and ventilation, much like the one used by drug lord “El Chapo” Guzman to escape from prison. teleSUR
