Brazil: Rousseff, Lula da Silva Exonerated in Petrobras Case
  • 9 years ago
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and her predecessor Luiz Inacio da Silva have been exonerated of all responsibility in the Petrobras corruption scandal. The parliamentary commission in charge of the investigation says that there is no evidence implicating Rousseff or Lula in any of the documents examined. According to the report, the crimes committed in the scandal were personally motivated. This clears political parties and companies of any wrongdoing. The findings will be voted on this Thursday by a commission of 27 lawmakers, most of whom are pro-government. The investigations will continue. teleSUR
