Defence & Diplomacy: Battle of Kunduz & Af-Pak Relations

The battle for the control of Northern Afghanistan town of Kunduz after it was briefly captured by Taliban, the unfortunate bombing of a Medicine Sans Frontier Hospital by US Forces killing Hospital staff and patients have wreaked havoc in the conflict torn Afghanistan.
Amidst the chaos, charges are being leveled by Kabul on Pakistan for its alleged complicity in the strife in Afghanistan. Chances of the peace talks between Taliban and Afghan Government grows bleaker and US President announces retention of troops in Afghanistan beyond 2017 reeks of conspiracy.
The plight of Afghan Refugees in Pakistan and their hopes of returning to their homeland also becomes dimmer.
