The Idea Behind ‘Kaun Kitney Paani Mein’ Story

"‘Kaun Kitney Paani Mein’ is based on the issue of water scarcity in rural India. The ideology behind the story came from director Nila Madhab Panda who hails from Orissa where he faced this problem. The way we are consuming this precious resource, someday water is going to be the new currency. Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Saurabh Shukla and actress Radhika Apte are playing the lead roles. Radhika Apte’s recently starred in a short film Ahalya is already a hot topic of the town.
The movie shows the story of two villages, which are split on the basis of cast but bound by water. But nowadays the situation has been changed, now water scarcity is the biggest issue and everything around them is changing drastically. The movie touches the issues of rural life where people fight for very basic things and the water is one of the thing now.
