Heidelberg has a certain mystique. It's quite a small city, but it attracts masses of tourists. Why? There are lots of lovely old towns in Germany and many are located on the banks of a river. And the castle? It's a ruin! Despite that, Heidelberg is a place people the world over long to visit.
