Guatemala: Court Denies Rios Montt Amnesty

Former Guatemalan dictator Efrain Rios Montt has been denied amnesty by a court of appears in a second trial in which the retired general is accused of genocide due to his responsibility in the massacre of over 1,700 of Mayan Ixile indigenous communities during the country's civil war in 1982-83. Rios Montt had previously been found guilty in 2013, but the ruling was annulled for procedural errors and he will be retried in abstentia. Gerardo Torres reports from Central America. teleSUR
