New Orleans is a place like no other in America. It is a city whose heart beats to the rhythm of jazz music, and the birthplace of a style of jazz improvisation named after it. Our team follows Rusty Lazer, DJ and producer of «bounce music», members of the legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Trombone Shorty, musician and symbol of the jazz revival in the city.
An in-depth look at this legendary city devastated by hurricane Katrina, but which continues to nourish and perpetuate a strong culture of jazz and hip-hop throughout the world. Situated below sea-level, this charming city could not resist the exceptional power of the hurricane that hit it in 2005. A year that remains engraved in the collective memory of its people as the year of devastation and despair for its future. What remains of the famed New Orleans soul?
