Guatemala: Monzon Says Pres. and VP Ran Corruption Scheme

Juan Carlos Monzon, the former private secretary of Guatemala’s imprisoned ex Vice President Roxana Baldetti, has formally implicated his boss and former President Otto Perez Molina in running the corruption sceme known as “La Linea.” Monzon turned himself in to the authorities on Monday and appeared in court a few hours later. He has been accused of running the scheme that cheated the Guatemalan government out of millions of dollars, but Monzon told the judge that nothing went on without the knowledge of the President and the Vice President.
