A man recently traveled 1,500 miles to adopt a dog he saw online. The problem was he couldn’t afford to make the trip home. 
But thanks to a little publicity and the kindness of strangers, both the man and his dog have made it back. 
23-year-old Maine resident, Joel Carpenter, says he spotted a rescue dog named Sadie on Petfinder.com, and felt compelled to adopt her even though she was in Minnesota. 
He only had enough money for the flight there and her adoption fees, but he went anyway.
