It takes a sadistic level of vitriol to find little, if any, satisfaction in the aftermath of a third consecutive victory, a record-setting start and a series of film reviews with positives that overwhelmed the negatives.
But the Patriots have gotten that version of Tom Brady this season.
Brady is a masochist for perfection, a glutton for the hours it takes to get there and maniacal enough to dedicate his entire existence toward the singular goal of torching every opponent, commissioner and doubter in his way.
The "scorched earth" mantra is real with Brady in 2015.
