70th Session of UNGA was a watershed that numerous initiatives for world peace, climate change and uplift of the impoverished and underdeveloped nations were discussed and decisions taken. President Xi Jinping's participation brought a sea change in major country relations, rejection of confrontational policies and adoption of cooperation and support to usher an era of peace and prosperity for all.
Pope Francis ushered in a whiff of fresh air. Nawaz Sharif boldly took up the cudgels for the oppressed Kashmiris still under Indian occupation and presented a four point peace formula to India, which was rejected by the belligerent Modi. A dossier of evidence of Indian interference in FATA and Balochistan was shared by Pakistan with UN SG Ban Ki Moon
