Here is a taste of what goes on behind animating StarCrafts. Its not uncommon for me to cut or shorten a scene or two. This episode had more than usual. I thought you guys might enjoy it.

Q: WHY? Why did you cut these scenes?

A: Though some people may find them entertaining, I felt it was a distraction to the purpose of the episode and the series. The main focus is StarCraft jokes, what happens in game and bringing it down to the unit's level and perspective. The scenes that were deleted didnt really add to that point but kind of took away from it.

One of the main problems was that the beginning was a bit too long and kind of boring for the most part. So quickening it to a simple "Changling plops down infront of a marine and changes, and the marine just accepts him as one of his own" I thought was not only more related gag, but started the episode off at a nice pace.

the other scenes were completely related to the first that they had to be removed as well. You can see the result of these deleted scenes in the original episode: the changeling drew 2 marines, a ghost, reaper and marauder :)
