Cuba: Colombian Gov’t Denies Justice Agreement Means Impunity

Humberto de la Calle, the chief negotiator of the Colombian government delegation in peace talks with FARC guerrillas, said in Havana that the recent agreement on transitional justice does meet international standards and does not mean impunity. He said that special courts will be set up to try former guerrillas and former military personnel accused of crimes in the armed conflict that has lasted for five decades.
